Syd & Dev at the Biltmore

Editorial Contrast: Syd & Dev at the Biltmore
A destination celebration rooted in tradition and elevated through a distinctly editorial lens, Syd and Dev’s wedding brought Boston sensibility to one of Miami’s most iconic settings—Biltmore Hotel.
With a clear vision from the bride, the design embraced a disciplined black-and-white foundation, creating a timeless framework that felt both classic and fashion-forward. While the palette remained intentionally restrained, florals introduced softness and depth—layered in blush, ivory, and subtle gold tones. Lush and abundant, they became the emotional language of the space, reflecting the bride’s love for flowers while honoring a refined, traditional aesthetic—deliberately steering away from greenery.

The ceremony unfolded as a romantic garden moment, centered around a chuppah that felt intimate and poetic, softened by delicate blooms and a sense of quiet reverence. It was a space designed to feel immersive and emotional—where tradition, faith, and design came together seamlessly.
In contrast, the transition into the reception revealed an entirely new energy. The mood shifted, the atmosphere deepened, and the space transformed into a bold, editorial statement—striking and completely distinct from what came before.
A wedding defined by duality—soft and structured, traditional and modern—executed with precision and purpose at every turn.
